Abstract | The teaching internship offers students the opportunity to put the knowledge gained during their didactic education into practice at a Fachhochschule or a Berufsfachschule. The internship comprises a total of 30 lessons, of which 10 lessons are observed and 20 lessons are taught. | |||||
Learning objective | Students can evaluate the teaching of others with regard to general didactic aspects and communicate their observations. They can also fully prepare and conduct their own lessons. Students are able to guide learners through their lessons and actively involve them in the lessons. | |||||
Content | The teaching internship is led by an internship teacher who is assigned to the student by the lecturer of the subject didactics. In regard to the observations, the internship teacher explains his or her professional and didactic considerations, on the basis of which he or she has planned the lessons, and exchanges experiences and observations with the student during the internship. The internship teacher must attend all lessons given by the student and discuss them with the student before and after the lessons. Two lessons at the end of the internship are held as examination lessons, which are jointly assessed by the subject didactics teacher and a subject representative. | |||||
Prerequisites / Notice | Prerequisite is the successful completion of Subject Didactics I, Subject Didactics II and the Mentored Work. |
