Content
Dwelling as a continuation of the Earth's crust can be theorized from contemporary architecture back to Paleohistorical periods. The lecture will focus on various case studies of contemporary architecture and relate these phenomena to models of historiography and theory, and to earlier works of art and architecture. Which is the relation to the discussion of the Anthropocene? How does it affect perceptions of temporality and space? Which are the connections to earlier movements such as Land Art? How does is resonate with notions of infrastructure, extraction, and forms of power?
