AbstractImparts a basic understanding of physiology in mammals, focusing on the fundamental general principles of organ operation in health and disease. This is fostered by discussing all subjects from a functional point of view. A major topic of the lecture is food intake and digestion with its correlated neural and endocrine processes.
Learning objectiveAfter this course the students are able to describe, explain, and apply basic principles of systems physiology and the mechanisms of the function of the major organ systems.
