AbstractImplementation of projects in the business field of renewable energies, analysis of the legal framework and business risks.

You will learn about business models of investors in the technology fields of wind energy, hydropower and solar energy.
Group exercises based on examples with actual projects from experienced experts.
ObjectiveYou will receive a practice-oriented introduction to the regulatory, legal and business requirements for renewable energy projects. The possibilities of integrating fluctuating energy production in an environment of volatile prices will be demonstrated. Exercises based on concrete project examples in groups.
You will recognize the opportunities and risks of new projects and develop strategies to secure them.
ContentBusiness models for renewable energy projects
Introduction of market trends, market structure, technical trends and regulation in Switzerland and in the EU internal energy market
Necessary frame conditions for profitable projects
Project development samples and exercises in
wind power, hydro power, photovoltaics
due diligence and country assessment.
