AbstractAny intervention in the historical building fabric requires a comprehensive understanding of the object with an exact documentation of the building stock. The methods of building archaeology are used to document and analyse the existing condition of the building.
Learning objectiveFor building archaeology, the buildings themselves are the most significant historical sources. The goal is to gain the most complete knowledge possible of the building's history. This course aims to teach students the methods of historical building archaeology.
ContentDas Wahlfach vermittelt die Methoden der historischen Bauforschung.

Die Vorlesung geht anhand von Beispielen aus der aktuellen Forschung des Institutes vor und erläutert die Themenbereiche Erfassen - Messen - Dokumentierten - Interpretieren - Bewerten.
