AbstractResearch laboratory class in small groups. Research projects on current topics in cellular microbiology and bacterial pathogenesis are assigned to each student.
Learning objectiveIntroduction to a current topic in cellular microbiology and/or molecular genetics of a bacterial pathogen. Experimental work in the research lab and introduction to the current lab techniques. This includes contributions to the analysis of animal experiment. You will work with the current research literature in bacterial pathogenesis and write a research protocol.
Requirement for obtaining the credit points: oral presentation of the research project, a short written exam and evaluation of the research protocol.
