General safety regulations for all block courses: -Whenever possible the distance rules have to be respected -All students have to wear masks throughout the course. Please keep reserve masks ready. Abstract | The course provides general basic insights and new perspectives in the development, plasticity and repair of the nervous system. The focus is on molecular, cellular and transgenic approaches, mainly with the mouse as model system. |
Objective | Through a combination of practical work with lectures, discussions, project preparations and presentations, the students learn basic principles of neural plasticity and repair in health and disease. The course is linked to ongoing research projects in the lab to provide the participants with insights into current experimental approaches and strategies. |
