AbstractResearch laboratory class in small groups. Research projects on current topics in cellular microbiology and bacterial pathogenesis are assigned to each student.
Learning objectiveIntroduction to a current topic in cellular microbiology and/or molecular genetics of a bacterial pathogen. Experimental work in the research lab and introduction to the current lab techniques. Work with the current research literature in bacterial pathogenesis. Writing of a research protocol.
Requirement for obtaining the credit points: oral presentation of the research project and evaluation of the research protocol.
