This optional course builds on the course "Management of multifunctioal forests". Based on theory and field work it will explain and illustrate the 3 most important management concepts of Swiss multifunctional forest management i.e. "Swiss Femelschlag system", "Unevenaged management system (Plenterwald)" and "Dauerwald management system" in typical broadleave forests.
