AbstractWhat in detail becomes visible and how it relates to the constructive and structural logic of the whole, should be the focus of personal approaches as well as the question of which observations coincide with certain details of the elements - visible, invisible. The perspectives of different disciplines and subjective projections of each individual are developed.
Learning objectiveThe course aims at a broad discourse on the role of constructive details. Learning different construction methods and their characteristic details from the perspective of different professional perspectives. Independent observation and formulation of constructive connections.
ContentA lecture series approaches the topic, both from an academic and a practical perspective.
Every two weeks, internal lecturers or external speakers from the fields of architecture, engineering, design, art and architecture / art history present their respective discussions. There will be six papers during the semester, followed by a critical discussion session of the participants. In the intervening weeks, discussions take place in form of a seminar. The lecture is open to all interested parties.
