Learning objective
The lecture gives a deeper insight into track geometry, the interaction between track and vehicles as well as in construction and dimensioning of the track. Methods for the diagnosis of the state of the track and its forcast are shown. State-of-the-art maintenance strategies and technologies are presented.

The performance assessment is offered every session. Repetition possible without re-enrolling for the course unit.

Additional information on mode of examination
Die Übungen sind zentrale Elemente dieser Lerneinheit und werden benotet. Die genauen Bestandteile (kann Präsentationen einschliessen) und Bewertungskriterien sind den einzelnen Übungsaufträgen zu entnehmen. Die Gesamtnote der Leistungskontrolle setzt sich zu 70 % aus der Prüfungsnote und zu 30 % aus der Gesamtübungsnote zusammen. Ohne vollständige Absolvierung aller Bestandteile der Übungen kann die Prüfung nicht bestanden werden (wird als Abbruch gewertet, sofern keine Prüfungsabmeldung erfolgt).
