AbstractThe course provides a deeper understanding of the methodological foundations of results-oriented planning and steering of development projects. Together with the participants, we reflect on the situation-specific application of instruments for project planning and the development of a monitoring system, which makes it possible, in complex contexts, to adapt and steer projects.
Learning objectiveThe course participants are able to describe the process of project planning using the correct technical terminology, to initiate an analysis of the initial situation and possible development scenarios, to elaborate a monitoring system, and to adaptively steer the implementation of projects.
Content- Basic concepts of result-oriented project management
- Instruments and resources for project planning, including the elaboration of a "logframe matrix" and results chain
- Instruments and resources for project monitoring, and for the development of a monitoring system, including indicators to assess objectives achievement and steer the project

AbstractThe course deals with different approaches and types of evaluations within the framework of development projects. The participants acquire knowledge and skills for the use of methods for the analysis of project processes and results and their use in project management. In order to deepen the understanding, practical project examples are focused on.
Learning objectiveThe course enables to plan and manage evaluation processes effectively and efficiently.
