| Kurzbeschreibung | The course provides a deeper understanding of the methodological foundations of results-oriented planning and steering of development projects. Together with the participants, we reflect on the situation-specific application of instruments for project planning and the development of a monitoring system, which makes it possible, in complex contexts, to adapt and steer projects. | ||||
| Lernziel | The course participants are able to describe the process of project planning using the correct technical terminology, to initiate an analysis of the initial situation and possible development scenarios, to elaborate a monitoring system, and to adaptively steer the implementation of projects. | ||||
| Inhalt | - Basic concepts of result-oriented project management - Instruments and resources for project planning, including the elaboration of a "logframe matrix" - Instruments and resources for project monitoring, and for the development of a monitoring system, including indicators to assess objectives achievement and steer the project - "Alternatives" to the logframe in project management | ||||

| Kurzbeschreibung | An estimated 250 million people are currently living outside countries of origin - voluntarily as migrants or involuntarily as refugees. The course explores the role that international cooperation can play in promoting the positive aspects of migration and in reducing the negative consequences. | ||||
| Lernziel | Course participants have improved understanding of the following issues: - Definition of migration concepts and terms, including migrants, refugees, IDPs - The geography of migration flows - The evolving concept of “migration and development” - International organizations and their strategies and activities in terms of migration | ||||
| Inhalt | Today's migration movements are initiated in the countries of origin through different causes, whether political, social, economic, or natural. Although the concept of migration is negatively connoted for many people, international migration has a positive impact on both the countries of origin and the recipient countries. In addition to the transfer of goods and capital, it can also be understood as part of the increasing globalization process. | ||||

| Kurzbeschreibung | Der Kurs befasst sich mit verschiedenen Ansätzen und Typen von Evaluationen im Rahmen von Entwicklungsprojekten. Die Teilnehmenden erwerben Kenntnisse und Fertigkeiten für den Einsatz von Methoden zur Analyse von Projektprozessen und -resultaten und deren Verwendung im Projektmanagement. Um das Verständnis zu vertiefen, wird mit praktischen Projektbeispielen gearbeitet. | ||||
