Abstract | The goal of this course is to teach MSc students the necessary skills for doing research in the fields of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. |
Learning objective | Practical exercises and demonstrations on topics including sterile cell culture, light microscopy and histology, protein and gene expression analysis, and viability assays are covered. The advantages of 3D cell cultures will be discussed and practical work on manufacturing and evaluating hydrogels and scaffolds for tissue engineering will be performed in small groups. In addition to practical lab work, the course will teach skills in data acquisition/analysis. |
